Odriozola might very well be the next Dani Alves but it's a risky move. On the other hand, players like Cancelo and Soares will never be good enough for Barca.

Why don't we just 'persuade' Alves to come back for a couple of years !?

I'd still prefer paying 20-30M for Odriozola than 60M for Bellerin who is also far from guaranteed to succeed here.



He's better than Palencia and think he'd be ready to take over our RB spot.

I can't believe that he could be ready for a starting spot after playing just 15-16 games in La Liga ... I think it would be better to give a chance to Palencia and if he does not prove to be good enough for the first team, then we could go for Odriozola next summer ...

Regarding the first sentence, I even prefer keeping Roberto at right back and promoting Palencia then paying such a huge amount for Bellerin ...

Overall, the right back situation and current options all look really risky, so I honestly don't know which would be the best option for us ...

He was treated badly by the board. A player of Alves stature deserved to be more recognized sport and salary wise.

No he wasnt treated badly other than they signed another RB. Then they BOTH agreed on contract that either could get out of and Alves chose to.

For the past 4/5 years half the moans about Alves were for his crossing and not being good defensively yet he was kept and proved a lot of people wrong.
