No, the decision hangs in the air for the now. UEFA comittees gather after the end of domestic football season in Germany to discuss and announce their verdict. Otherwise stating in February "No, sorry, Leipzig, you are not allowed in UEFA club competitions" could lead to match-fixing and other bad sportsmanships.

Leipzig case is similar to Roman Abramovich's involvement in both Chelsea and CSKA Moskva ownership but by different companies. The thing is both clubs in Leipzig case are owned by one company (Red Bull). Red Bull Salzburg being already established in UEFA club competitions will probably get the vote.

RB doesn't own Salzburg anymore though, they are their sponsors. According to UEFA rules you can't have 2 clubs in the same tournament that have an owner with over 30% shares at the club. That isn't the case at Salzburg anymore, Leipzig for example spend 31m€ for Salzburg players this year, shifting RBs shares below the 30% threeshold.

As Yannik said, little chance UEFA will be able to make a case removing RB from the competition

I don't want him here, he just extend his contract. Just move on to Bernardo Silva. Don't buy this bpl hype.

But he has delivered 4-5 great seasons in the PL - that is beyond hype, imo. I know that we need Xavi-passes more than outside-the-box-screamers, but he has delivered good assists, key-passes and has a WC-technique as well. I also like Bernardo Silva, and I'm not quite sure who would fit us better - only that Coutinho has been more consistent (although he has an injury-history)..

would be great to have him, certainly, but i dont think he adds what we most need...hes a great attacker but that's not the department we lack strength in...

This transfer would make little sense but for this very reason I expect our useless board to buy him.

We don't need another offensive player but players in the mould of Verratti, Weigl, Pjanic etc. Midfielders who can dictate the play and help keep possession. Players that will strengthen the midfield's defensive contribution when not in possession as well.

Bernardo Silva would be a much better addition should we pursue a player with similar characteristics to Coutinho. He would be cheaper and 2 years younger too.

I cannot see him replace Iniesta and he would add little that we don't have already. Don't get me wrong, Coutinho is a very good player that has much room for improvement but he would not be the ideal fit as things are currently. Unless we buy Verratti as well which is incredibly unlikely.
