This may be a blessing in disguise or maybe I'm just being over optimistic.

I think the league is out of reach but this may motivate us more in the Cl. When it comes to retaining the Cl it will be very difficult if we're chasing in La liga too.
I think we will drop too many points between now and January to remain competitive in La liga. So it's Cl or bust imo.

can you explain it what is your logic when you saying the league is out of reach? if you consider that atletico or real doesnt look impressive too, and they have 1 point less then barca and game between them. Im waiting for response, thank you.

you are just another spoonfed barca fan.

Differance is other teams have big squad that can rotate. Our squad was tired at the start of the season already with several playes getting very little rest after CL and Copa America. The thin squad will take a toll on the players and it would be a miracle if we are in the titlerace this year.

The league is not out of reach. In fact it is the opposite after today we will be at worst 2 points behind Madrid after playing sevilla, atletico and athletic away.

With the tranfert ban even with Messi I was not hopping we will do this good. The objective remains the same. Not to be far away from the leader (no more than 6 pts ).

In January Barça will be a completely different beast.

Course it does but it'll still come back to these defeats IMO. Defeat in the El Clasico would be a disaster.

Los Blancos will win tomorrow, Atleti without Koke and just Gabi and Tiago in midfield with youngsters on flanks, Benitez has them set up well, they'll win this derby. Could be 4 points behind Villarreal too because they should beat Levante and we've still to play them at Camp Nou without Messi and that's one tough game believe me.

Our schedule isn't exactly unbareable until the real game...just got to win the home games. That's a must

I still wonder why our defense has suddenly done a 180 and is conceding goals left and right, same defence that stood strng last season..

I just think we have become victims of our own success. Not the same intensity as last season and players performing well under their capabilities

holy crap , can you get banned for being pissed at your team :p ? i hope not

Nothing is out of reach including another treble if Barca can come up with new formula upfront and midfield . Everyone talks about the defense , but where is the midfield ? i do not know if you notice , but it is almost none existence . Messi made everyone look good including our aging defense and none existence midfield . Now that he is injured , everyone looks bad .

Just a side note , If Neymar keeps going through two or three defenders trying to fix the situation , he will get badly injured .

Barcelona created 20 chances yesterday, 4th most in 72 games under Luis Enrique #fcblive Most: 23 vs Eibar, Huesca, Cordoba

Shit luck yesterday. Celta deserved the win last week more than sevilla would've deserved a draw.

Positive takeaways after Sevilla match:
- Neymar is stepping up - could have scored 3 goals and was working hard until the end
- Piqué is improving, shaking off the rust
- Team is not giving up, pressing hard until the end and almost coming through
- Youngsters Sandro and Munir showing promise - Sandro was sooooo close to scoring the equalizer

Give Sevilla some credit, they played well and - after all - they are a quality team difficult to defeat even for a Barça team with Messi, Iniesta, Rafinha ....

I think there is hope, let's stay positive!

Been a fan since 1989 so don't give me bullshit about being spoonfed.

Our squad is paper thin. We are missing Messi and our defence is non existent. I predict we will lose another two games and draw another couple. It doesn't matter who we face we are just not at the races yet.
We started the season in poor shape physically and mentally and this has resulted in injuries, lack of motivation and poor results.

Depends on how the two teams arrive at the clasico. If we arrive -6 behind Madrid, then yes, it would be very bad. If we arrive level on points, or even slightly in the lead, then it's no big deal if we lose the game, especially taking into account that the next clasico is in Barcelona.

May be in Barcelona but against this Madrid side with how organised Benitez has them set up? You don't want to be behind in standings heading into that, trust me.

Well, we might benefit from having a fresh Vidal and Turan.

I almost can't believe we're still only 1 point behind frst place.

Given our shitty schedule, poor squad depth, injuries, terrible finishing and bad luck with posts that's quite a miracle.
