Leo didn't particularly cover himself in glory today either. Congratulations to Chile, were slightly the better side over the 120 minutes and had so much more desire.

Argentina surely must be the most frustrating team to follow in the world... Congrats to Chile, tho.
In a way, they have 2 finals in two years, not many teams even get to that stage. Though it must be incredibly fustrating to lose both of them.

Tata is a bad manager. He just couldn't do anything right.
A team of extremely good dribblers and passers and he made them play long ball. Not to mention that the entire midfield was a giant clusterfu*k.
Biglia did his defensive duties well but he lost the ball a lot in the building process.
Mascherano played his heart out but made some silly passes.
Pastore - no comment, utterly bad performance.
Banega was ok, he actually did smth in the middle.
Lavezzi.. I have no words... I thought he would do a lot better than ADM but he was just not good enough.
Agüero - choked
Higuain - If there is a holy grail in chocking than it's him.
Messi - Didn't help the team defensively and was quite static. Did drop deeper to get the ball more but the long ball tactics don't work with him.
The defence was ok, I guess... A brainfart here and there but they covered eachother well enough.
Sergio Romero was good tho.
It was just sad to watch great players play like they were a low league english long ball team.

No he didnt but you cant really argue that Maradona was not a better player for Argentina than Messi is.
Messi has not had the personality in these finals to go and make himself the difference and thats not all on his team mates not being good enough to get him the ball.
Its not Messis fault that they lose though at all, he was their best player on the ball tonight.
