Marquinhos

Yep, great performance.

Also don't forget that Thiago Silva was playing on the right side of central defence. So even if Hazard looked like going past, there was still TS to cover.

He's faster than I thought. Chelsea was expecting VDW at RB and therefore overloaded their attack on that side, but Marco wasn't having any of that. His technique is amazing, his poise is better. World class already at full back or center back.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
If Zubi had done his job and bought Marquinhos back when he was at Roma and Laporte before this season, we would've had this backline:

MAtS
Marquinhos - Piqué - Laporte - Alba

:(

Great, great player. Arguably the best defensive talent out there. Not sure if you can call him a talent anymore though.

He is better than most right backs already but a immensely talented player like him should play as a central defender. The reason why he plays right back is due to the Luiz-Silva partnership and because Van der Wiel is average at best while Aurier is not impressing.

He would have been perfect in our team. Perfect as in perfect, perfect.

So when will the Qataris leave PSG so we can sign him? :rosell:

Depends on Al Thani. When he will be done with his toy, PSG will go back to what it was before.

Most people think they will keep "using" PSG till 2022, after that who knows.

PSG will ultimately get to a point where they are a self-sufficient big club. It wouldn't really matter if the Qatar people leave.

Not sure is that straight forward as a lot of the huge sponsorship deals that these oil rich clubs are massively inflated through their owners influence.

Aurier is fine. Was one of the best players at the AFCoN and served Zlatan up for a beautiful assist before going down with injury. He needs to be at RB, Marco at CB, and Luiz at DM. Just needs to stay healthy.

They've invested too much into football, and Paris is an invaluable gem that someone should have picked up and invested in a long time ago. At this point, considering the upwards trajectory of the club, Bein, and Aljezzera; only thing that will cause them to leave is the Qatari state becoming poor.

With how much they've invested, through sponsors and so much else, they're gonna hold on for a looooooooong time.

Maybe we can get Marquinhos to punch Nasser or something

Imagine playing 3 at the back with this kid as one of the wide CB, Pique in the middle, Alba at wing-back and packing the midfield. We would obliterate the smaller sides and then revert to a back 4 for the bigger games.

As much as I don't like Zubi, he is not at fault for not bringing Marquinhos from Roma. He revealed in an interview that we were after him but couldn't match PSG's offer which is only logical considering the Neymar transfer.
