The first minutes I saw of Suarez for Uruguay I already became a fan (didn't know him before), his hunger to win is sometimes too much for him to handle but is awesome to watch.

Later when he defended the ball with the hand then I identified with him a lot more as I did the same in a city final between schools

Lost though...

That was how Villa celebrated for many goals I remember. Even in the Manita classico the Asturian did the same.

It's his signature celebration. He celebrated that way in the Remontada against Milan last year IIRC.

El Guaje's one of my favorite Strikers; sad that the leg break cut his Barca career short.

He was quite sloppy as some mentioned but his hunger and energy is a great thing to have on the pitch. He was fighting for every ball pressuring tormenting the defenders and i love that he brings mobility and strength to the team. I remember him contesting a header and winning it up on the field and i was confused because our forwards dont win headers or outmuscle a defender for it.

I also like that his dribbling style is different to both Messi and Neymar who are about trickery and the other precision dribbling while Suarez is about quick fiery burst with deadly intentions hence the nutmegs and looking for danger quickly not trying to dance around to much i like it but it leads to him messing as he takes a bigger risk with them messi does it too not as much though.

Like I said it's nice to have a bull like suarez upfront even if he was sloppy i felt he only contributed positively in the game.

^I did. I don't see on what we spend 41m. euros + Alexis on. Horrible first touches and a lot of failed dribbles. So far, he's been sub par. We'll see if he can turn it around.

I don't see how he has been sub-par.

Involved in what, 8-9 goals directly in his first 9 games for us coming back from a ban in his first season for Barcelona?

Been our best player in some games, even if the goals are not coming his movement is creating havoc and space for other players like Messi. He has not been very great in the last couple of games though, but the matches before that? I think he has been very good.

Also just 1 goal from equalling the amount of goals Alexis scored for us in the CL in the three seasons he was with us.

We brought Suarez for goals. He has what, 2 goals in 9 games or something. Subpar. Movement, workrate, those are things Alexis excels at. If he doesn't produce Eto'o-level of goals, that is 25-30 goals per season, he is sub par for me.

lol. You really should time your glorifying attempts better, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

The passion he shows is incredible. There's no such thing as a lost cause with him and I'm sure he's going to start scoring on a regular basis soon.

Still think he's carrying a bit of excessive timber and looks quite sluggish at times.
