You should try PC version. Gameplay is greatly balanced - something between PES 2005 and PES 2008. They took best from boat of them. Only PES06 was below standards.

PC FIFA sucks big time, thats why I bought my PS3, games are better even though till September when I bought my machine I kinda forgot about electronic games for some years!
FIFA on PS3 is great, next year I'll also buy PES, the prices are big ( Damn costs like 100$ a new game in the stores ) but there are a lot of guys who sell them after buying them en-gross from abroad.
Still, I won't mod my PS3 so I can play online, practically thats why I bought it.

"Dear Konami,

I have this friend you see, his name is Anton and he feels the need to physically steal from your company each and every year.

I am worried about his mental stability and fear he has the mind of a criminal. I'm writing to let you know, so that you can make the decision yourself, on how you wish to proceed along the lines of legal action. His IP adress is (enter IP adress here), which should provide you with some evidence that he is playing your new and wonderful Pro Evolution Soccer 10 illegally.

I hope this is of use to Konami's interests and if you wish to know more, please do not hesitate into asking me for further details.

Kind Regards,

Your number 1 fan."

Great list. I'm sure it will look amazing and hopefully they fixed the shit shooting and defenders running away from attackers on breaks (why I switched to fifa) but also do some proper work on the stats because it really is where they are let down the most. You have everyone who has emerged in the last years still crap and players like Sheva etc who are past it being gods. That really has to be fixed.

Do you think they realised they regressed with 09??

From what i saw (check the video posted in the 1st page about tactics & team orders applied to Barca that for you Ry & CA) they did a LOTTTTTTTTTTTT of work in terms of game play , making it easier and much more sophisticated than before and compared to FIFA.

regarding the stats and players i think they did a good job with the updates ( PES2009 had 4 updates last winter , including raising some stats for some players -or a fact i know Bojan was pushed up- / updated all winter transfers and inclusion of new players ) .
I was surprised when someone mentioned before they didn't include players like Pedro, i have Pedro in my version so is the last English shirt.. i think what they will do this time is improve more stats in the updates (which i normally don't care about as i already push everyone -literally everyone to make the game harder )

I still believe this year they will do a great job compared to last year

stats for me is where the game will prove its worth, because i hate editing them myself but its so necessary sometimes, whereas 97/100 fifa will get theres close to spot on

Good point Lemmi, FIFA is very good at producing hard fought games and gritty encounters but it just doesn't have the "epic" factor that PES did when it was on the PS2.

you can always fix that with a simple download Ry.
I know Fifa stats are higher but it's all relative to your opponents stats

average 70 in PES will do the same job of average 80 in FIFA ..

80 vs 80 rating = 70 vs 70 rating

Lemmi

yeah obv, but the realism. they were few tragedies in terms of stats in fifa whereas evo would baffle me and make the games unfair because they hadnt bothered to research or edit in years to make development or ageing.

i am finally on xbox live so looking forward to getting the d/loads this year.

you will never get a proper FIFA from EA until they move to the UK like back in the 90's .. don't expect a proper football game when football is 5th or 6th fav sport in the country and they call it Soccer

This years Fifa is the same as 09, just that it has the "360 degree dribbling" - which can't be used to it's full potential if you don't have a gamepad. There are lots of bugs in-game, which should get fixed till the full game gets released in october. They've been using Andy G(r)ay as the commentator since forever, but I can live with that. The grass is also just awful.

The AI is smarter, I like how they corrected the shooting bar(harder to master) and the view, when you have to save a penalty. Dribbling is more fluid with the 360 degree system. The quick throw-ins are nice. And finally: the damn side referee is ALIVE! :D

I would love to play PES 2010 this year, but my computer probably won't be able to support it so I'll have to stick with FIFA this year. :/

Fifa 10 on the playing service looks evidently fresher with improved graphics and little tweaks being made to make the game more realistic, but the full version will really show how it's improved. Playing Fifa, especially since last year feels like you're playing a very realistic game of football, but Manager Mode, Be A Pro and other aspects need to become richer for it to be truley outstanding.

As for PES, i'm looking more forward to that than I am Fifa. I'll have Fifa first so naturally i'll play and enjoy that, but as soon as PES comes out, Fifa will take a back seat for a while.

Amazing isn't it? The vast increase in the pace of the game is the most outstanding feature from my POV, plus the feeling that you have way more control over your moves on the pitch and dribbling etc. It really feels like a proper game of sexy football now and I can't wait to settle down with the full version at the end of the month. There are a few minor bugs in the demo version but it's safe to assume they'll be ironed out in the full release. I'll be FIFA 10ing, that's for sure.

PES > FIFA every fvcking day :)

Before last year's versions yes, but FIFA has improved infinitely in the last two versions whilst PES 2009 was gash. I say that as somebody who dumped the FIFA series after FIFA 99 and only got converted last year. Konami have just been lazy in recent years with their updates, barely improving the game before last year it seemed to go backwards and that was the end for me. Pro Evo will have to do something pretty spectacular to tempt me back because the FIFA 10 demo is a blinder.

One thing I hate about FIFA09 is that, in manager mode, when you buy a good player he usually takes the #2 as that's the lowest outfield number. WTF is the story with that? Villa wearing #2 looks gimpy as fuck. Oh and then in another manager mode, I bought Zlatan and he took Iniesta's fuckin' #8! What a load of shit! Don Andrés wearing #19 to accommodate Ibra is criminal.

And you can't change it. That better change!

FIFA should be made in the UK...then, we would have a proper football game ;) As long as FIFA is going to be made in a country where they call the sport "soccer", they won't deliver anything special.

yeh there are a fair few mistakes in the demo e.g petr cech's rank is 64 lol, ref still getting in the fu@king way not as much as in fifa 09, piqué, maxwell, pedro, jeffren, look nothin like in reality, messi gets caught running down the line by shitty defenders??, your keeper is always off his line and just comes out without your say so leaving the attacker to chip the ball over and iniesta doesnt have his snazy yellow boot's  other than the bad stuff CA seaid all the good.

The only problem I've had with the demo is the background fading.

E.g when a player is getting a card all you can see clearly is the player getting a card and the ref, the rest is blurred out. This will be easy to fix.

The game itself feels much more rewarding because it's harder to score 30 yard screamers or dribble through players, which makes it feel like you've done something special.

This year might finally be the year i switch to FIFA. I played the demo and LOVED it. I'll still wait for the PES demo to make the final decision. Anybody tried the demo yet? I played 2 games and I think gameplay wise, Konami have made a significant improvement(unlike EA Sports). The tactics are awesome, you can set how you play to the very last detail, the ball isn't glued to the players feet anymore(for example, when you sprint with the ball, there is a good chance the player might send the ball too much in front of him), long passing isn't so accurate anymore(in 2009, it ALWAYS went exactly to the player you were passing it to),...

PES 2010 > FIFA 2010, that's for sure.

I noticed that too. In 2009, if you were skilled enough, could easily break down any defense on top level...Now, it's VERY hard. :p

I played an exhibition game on top player, el classico, and Real was leading 2:0 most of the game, then I barely got back into it in the last 15 minutes with two goals...And then that fat chubby benziza scored a scorcher from 30 yards out in the 90th minute. PES 2010 is the best football game ever. First impression was great, but after few hours of playing, now I'm sure! Best PES edition before this one was 2005 (for that time). Also, I can not understand that someone can talk about PES quality if he's playing FIFA. That's silly and childish.. I played this new FIFA for 2 weeks and easily won Liga, CL i Spanish cup on top level. Last time I played FIFA was 3 years ago. There's no any challenge there, gameplay is years behind PES, and so on, so on...

P.S.
If you think that PC as game machine is so 1990s upgrade your computer... Dual Core Processor, some NVidia GX200 series graphic card (or similar ATI) - and say that again. PC graphical capabilities are again extremely close to PS3 right now and will be in front very soon, until PS4. Also, upgrade of PC will cost less than PS3 if you calculate how much money you gave for PS3 games. And if we are talking about any other console than PS3, don't be childish, quality PC will eat all of them.

Well from what I've read of PES 10 reviews is that this latest one is definately a big step up from the previous ones which have been going downhill in the eyes of many, but at the same time it still isn't at FIFA 10's level. Konami are still playing catch up and we'll have to wait until next year or the year after before they probably reach the same or a better level.

I got a ps controller converter so at least I don't have to play with the keyboard. :D The PC version of PES was actually better a few years ago I remember reading. It's exactly the same on PC as it is for consoles generally speaking, most sports games are, only FIFA is shitter on the PC cause EA don't bother with it.

in 2002 I dropped $2500 on a new PC because I wanted to be able to play the newest hottest games. Last year I dropped $1000 on a PC that would be hardpressed to load new games, never mind play them. It's all about my PS3, and for 90% of the gamers out there, it's all about their console.

it's different then the last installment of the game , the ball is way unpredictable .. player control are better i felt the 360 passing my way with Messi (play with Argentina in the WC ) i played 2 games Real Madrid - Lyon (for the awesome away shirt ) and WC with Argentina and beat the Czech republic 1-0 through a last minute Messi goal (5 minutes and pro-level )
i don't have time to play a lot tonight as i'm dead tired driving around town .. and i need to edit the damn thing first i'll wait for a good option file to install so far one guy (WENB ) made an option file with all the EPL kits /latest transfers /Liga kits and every international team plus 3 Bundesliga sides (B Munich,Wolfsburg and Stuttgart ) so i'm going to install this tomorrow and wait till someone change the blank 18 teams to the german league and unlock the classic teams & players /real names for the classic teams (go to gallary and check what u have to do to unlock them in case u don't know ) ..
so far it's great

I didn't know about classic teams, I suppose to unlock them you have to win certain tournaments an various levels?

now with various levels..
win the WC with Argentina to unlock Argentina classical team
same for Holland,Italy,Brazil,England,France,Germany..

than u have other classical players not playing each time u win a trophy (spanish league for example open up a set of players ranging from the likes of Hierro,Luis Enrique,Butregano,Laudrup,Hugo Sanchez,Stoichkov..etc ) win the English league and u open a set of players like Dalglish,Ian Rush..etc

winning the African nations cup open a set of classical African players , Copa America open a set of SA players not in the classical national teams ..
the level of the game doesn't matter if it's easy or hard just win

The African players look like exact matches of their real life counterparts and also the top players like Ferdinand, Terry, Marquez, Messi, Torres - they look top notch.

Benzema on the other hand, he looks like Dr. Evil.

Enjoying the game and i'm obsessed with Valencia at the moment starting a Master League with them, but I think i'll try someone different.

but without a shadow of a doubt PES 2010 is way way way better then 09 in everything but it's little fast ..

never mind CA he is just angry not everyone is riding the UK FIFA craze it's still a very good game but less enjoyable it doesn't push you to go back to the gaming console like the PES

Nothing to do with the UK, I just don't like people who set out their stall weeks in advance as you and another member have done. I could have told you over a month ago that you were going to prefer PES

I have the full game which i experienced a little last night u talk from a 60 % finished demo.. i could have said u will prefer FIFA based on the fact that u already bought it and it's way way better then any other games from FIFA or PES selection before it no doubt..but after 3 weeks with FIFA it's not a chair grabber , you don't miss playing in it as much as people do with PES not even close in fact it becomes a bit predictable after a while even with the major improvements , the fact that FIFA appeal to the UK /English audience is quite remarkable probably has to the do with the way the game play which is pass around a lot
So enjoy it but don't get too defensive when others prefer PES CA , it's a matter of personal preference as i said i'm yet to give my full verdict on the FINISHED copy but i guess so many people already enjoy and that include someone like Eddie who has zero prior preference to both series

That is what I am finding. It's good but it's not doing it for me.

same here u feel it's lacks soul ..

Thanks for mentioning Eddie, his is the kind of opinion which is valid in a situation such as this because he clearly hadn't made up his mind prior to playing the games. I'll be popping into Alicante some time soon to play PES in one of the games shops before deciding if I want to buy it. I used to be a massive Pro Evo fan and the CL licensing means I'd love to switch back. I haven't made my mind up whatsoever, I just think that FIFA's a top game and if I get a chance to try out Pro I'll do so.

FIFA 10 is a top game CA .. it really is and when i tried playing PES 09 in the last 2 weeks it felt like a game from the 90's (so bad and stupid ) but something about it makes it so systematic and less enjoyable like it lacks a sould ..
Give PES a try CA i don't think you'll regret it cause it's very good from the initial feel , i will give my review by Thursday if u are interested in reading it i can't give a verdict after 2 games except minor stuff like the player controls & the faces (which is a KO especially if u have an HD TV as u can see from the Rooney sample apply that to every major big team )

I got beat in the CL by atletico  Shame about the PES commentators though. I hate Lawrenceson and whilst jon champion is good martin tyler is better.

I still can't get over how UNrealistic the stadiums are, or shall I say the ground really. Each ground looks the same to me with only minimal visual differences.

That is where Fifa is better as you can easily notice the difference of each ground. I also prefer the fifa cameras to the PES cameras.

As I said crossing and heading (attacking) are so much better on PES and the passing on PES is more realistic in as such a bad pass won't reach your teammate whilst in fifa is does more often than not.

Shooting is better on PES imo though I can't do finesse shots (help please!!!) fifa has finesse shots that are easier to pull off. Long balls or long passes are better in fifa than PES but depending on your view it may be worse as you have to be more accurate.

The CL is a major pull for me but fifa has the all the major leagues and has manager mode - imo that is fifa's biggest pull.

So to summarise.

If I want to just play and chill out and test myself then it is PES

If I want to play in a premier league or la liga and want to play manager mode and be a pro then Fifa.

In game play terms each has its pros and cons and PES has better likenesses of players whilst Fifa has the better stadiums.

In manager mode PES wins hands down Eddie .. wait till u get to know it and now the new changes such as :

- upgrade your training managers (stolen from FIFA )
- scout doing the players negotiation
- in the cup mode of the Master league u are no longer playing with second divisions team but u compete with division 1 teams as well
- reaching Europe means actually playing in the CL or the Europa league
- i also heard that now u can start the season by doing transfers but i haven't played the ML yet

Interesting Gio - so you only unlock those winning either a master league or international trophy?

Also Be a legend on PES is better than Be a pro on Fifa.

For one reason only. On Fifa you can ask for the ball - whatever position you are in say you are a striker and in a full back position and you'd get the ball, or not depending where the opposition is. So it fucks up the system. But on PES you cannot ask for the ball so you must be in your position - I am a striker - and you will receive the ball if you are in the correct position and made your run properly.

go to track record (it has all your games/wins..etc ) move with R1 button and you will see the trophies and what is required to unlock them

Depends what you prefer, I like it on PES where you have to make the run and be in position to get the pass rather than asking for it and ruining the tactics etc.

I think the longer you are at a club(and the better you are), the more your teammates will pass to you, even if you don't ask for the ball.

Well i don't know where to put this , but i can give an proper assessment of PES vs FIFA

Well overall there is an improvement of the menu and still it's much more user friendly than FIFA or rather less complicated much less complicated.

so lets get started :
In terms of teams available:
FIFA wins hands down on club level while PES kick the shit out FIFA on the national level .
How FIFA missed teams like Serbia,Chile,Bosnia ,Egypt,Ivory coast,Ghana..etc is still beyond me
once again PES has the edge of the classic teams and classic players buying Pep or Hierro or forming a team of ex liga players with Romario-Laudrup-Hierro,Lucho ..etc remains a big turn on for an old fart like me or even (going to the editing part ) playing vs them as i normally create several teams instead of craps from the other league , like La Liga historical team , Serie A historical team ..etc or replace dead wood classic players with great ones like taking an Argentinian from Argentina classic and alter his looks, stats, name to Di Stefano,Passerella,Fillol,Ardilis ..etc

game modes :
PES wins , you can easily play a league, WC , copa America,Euro with considerable ease and the game selection is piss easy and user friendly , while u have to go a long process in creating a world cup even between 2 friends who want to play a world cup semi final (2 vs 2 ) .
the manager mode in FIFA is still a big abstract lots of not needed stuff , i tried the game with the kids TV (29 inch non HD ) and i couldn't read a damn thing !!! u need a big screen 37 inch + and preferable HD to read anything in the menu .
the game feels very very very long especially if u want to finish a season there isn't much difference than last year version , PES has improved the Master league (most popular game mode ) significantly which i will describe below :

the main problem this year is that u can't mix & match leagues .. i used to have 5 teams from each league and setup the 4 divisions , but due to license problems it's now more fixed u can't pick teams from Ligue 1 , EPL, Serie A , la liga,Dutch league..etc in one master league setup
u pick 4 leagues and automatically they block the option to pick any teams from the other 2 -3 leagues for example i couldn't pick Lyon or Ajax in the master league setup due to my choice of playing with Serie A , Liga,EPL and others
u can also decrease the level of the matches played (18 instead of 20 ) u can also determine how the league is won , head to head /goals scored/goal difference..etc
it's a big let down to see L'OM , Lyon,Ajax outside the setup
first u have 3 sponsors who give u money and conditional with certain achievements if u fail to meet them (5 losses would cancel the contract ..etc) , u have fan groups (season tickets ) i was given 250 Million Euro to spend on the club in the beginning of the season
the season no longer start with a game but a transfer period before u'r last game , now u can upgrade your staff ( u have youth manager, scout who do the negotiation for u IF u want , fitness coach, stadium manager , team doctor ) all play a significant part of your level on & off the pitch .
you also have youth team players (what used to be Master league default players in the old system ) , the training is immense u can use a focus option for example for one million Euro and a period of 8 weeks (8 games ) i gave drenthe the skill of going behind the defense ) , Granero to dribble in one on one.. those items u used to edit in the old series u can now give to your players by paying from your budget .. excellent option .

Negotiation is great, your scout file a dossier on the player u want which explain his statues and how much he value or don't value your club .. negotiations sometimes takes up to 3-4 weeks i managed to sign Ribery & Suarez for realistic prices (26 Million & 18 million respectively )

there is several new options cause unlike the last Master league u are now a manager in the Wenger/SAF like
in short this is another area where PES won with a landslide but lack of mix & match remains a major let down for me .

Game play:
I'll handed to FIFA they exceeded everything , i was reluctant between both games as PES has also improved but definitely not on the level EA has reached , the players on the pitch seems more natural then PES although PES has taken a big leap compared to 09 (and i did mention before that i played PES 09 while i had the FIFA and it felt like a stupid robotic game in comparison i switched off after the second game ) but EA still feels in a league of their own however since most people already got FIFA i'll say what's in PES
scoring goals in PES feels a lot better , when u score away suddenly the stadium turn from noisy to quiet and players reaction to scoring is better .
the 360 movement is better in PES but the skills available (although mostly impossible to do during a game ) on EA is wider and better .
shooting and crossing is an area where PES won and by default headers however the keepers in PES still have their Dida 60 seconds of fame , the defense has improved and the AI is smarter .
speaking of AI i have mentioned this in M&C i was playing with Brazil in the WC final vs England.. i went 1-0 down in the first half after 30 minutes while Robinho was raping England right back over & over again and in the 42 minute of the first half the AI changed the RB to Lescott and took Downing for Barry and i couldn't pass by Lescott anymore and lost the game with Barry solid display in the midfield ..
that's AI in my book not change when you are down 2-0 (like EA did this year and before and PES always done ) but rectifying a mistake early on and holding out in a WC final the same way we would see in Real life yet FIFA experience feels better in terms of players movement , reflexes and smartness without such tactical genius displays .

Graphics :
Player faces and bodies will scream from your TV in PES i posted before Rooney face unfucking believable he is so real it scares you but Stadiums is a big big let down in PES . some stadiums have so much sun and brightness u struggle to see the players (if u play with teams like England or Argentina ) or the ball (if it's white ) the pitch in most stadiums are seriously need a brush of green
Stadiums and the pitch in FIFA is awesome really awesome while players faces is seriously bad in comparison

editing:
it's becoming an addiction to PES players , to create / alter /get real life faces and make the players /kits/teams the game miss , moreover this year they allow other teams B to be in the master league so PES fans are creating the entire german league and already option files for the entire game include the latest transfers/kits are already in websites some of them started to put german teams already in some option files websites like pesfan and other provide u a great source of completing the game i already have an option file with all the EPL teams,Liga teams and other teams or do what i explained in teams review , FIFA virtually have no editing and much more complicated it's like they just give u whatever the game designer was working on with almost no editing option but do u need one when the game is license wise complete ? the answer is no but i would have take out New Zealand for example and turn them to Serbia just minor thing but could matter for some.

Formation:
PES is still much easier to use and much more user friendly despite their attempts to copy FIFA menu's still it's considerably easier and understandable compared to FIFA

live season :
awesome option for EA nothing like it in PES but it's still a big disappointment that they decided to charge people this year for it (instead of last year one free league update all year ) but it's a let down that it doesn't work till now .. always try again later when u try to download the live season

online gaming :
not of any interest for me, i like to compete with friends sitting together , the defeat live impression on the face of a friend worth thousand online experience

overall it's hard to say which is better , as a gameplay FIFA wins it for me despite the problems in crossing/heading and to some extent shooting feels awkward but the movement of the players as a group in a team is superior
i definitely will still play both although winning a tournament that open up a classical team or group of players ( i finished forming Bayern Munich squad from classical players and adding some who are found in the International squads like Toni,Ribery ,Robben..etc )
if we give FIFA a 9/10 PES would be 8/10 or 8.5 / 10 behind but not far off both need some minor tweaks

Fair play to you Gio that seems a very honest review and it sounds as though having both wouldn't be a bad option at all, would you agree with that?

Well i would say yes and wait for the EA & Konami update to see what parts of the games will be fixed.
i noticed headers are a bit better after the latest EA update and Konami are preparing one , if u prefer to wait till i feedback what will the game be like after the update i'll be happy to report it

Shipping takes about a week but you get games for half the price here (in spain). Never pay for overpriced spanish games again.

Here is the most complete option file made to date for those interested

http://rapidshare.com/files/299394789/Hanzino_PES10_OF_UK.rar

^^^ don't know if that's legal for the forum remove it mods if it's deemed breaching copy rights or anything

It includes:

All Premiership Emblems, Kits, Transfers, Squad Numbers done
All Unlicensed La Liga Emblems, Kits done
All MAJOR transfers completed - some squad numbers done
All Fake teams corrected
All National fake double players replaced with ingame real players
All Classic Teams & Hidden Players Unlocked
All Classic & Hidden Players Fake Names Changed To Real Names

Now, you MUST copy the system data & edit data in order for the classic players to be unlocked & named correctly, just copy everything

for those who are new like Eddie..
1- download it
2- unzip/use win rare to unlock it
3- inside the folder u unzipped you will find a folder called PS3, copy it as it is to a USB stick and put it in your PS3 USB spot.
4- from the PS3 screen go to saved data , you will see your USB name , open it and start copying it to your PS3 (that include system data file & edit date file along with all the kits

Gio have you tried the be a pro on fifa and be a legend on PES yet?

not yet on PES that's why i excluded it from my comparison

Quality review Gio. I've only played the demos for both but i'm a PES fan since the days of ISS and i'm never going to move to Fifa.

What i liked about PES is the tactic cards. I played the overlaping run card with Alves and he was playing like in real life. Very good idea because in 09, Alves at RB would just stand there and harly pass the half way line. I didn't want to move him up to a right wing back because then he wuld be classed as a midfielder and wouldn't mark the LW.

Game play has improved a lot on PES10.

Also thanks for the option file Beast, appreciate it.

One important note guys, this option file works only for the UK version (Sadly ) .. so check your copies before installing it (u can still use the kits but the unlockable teams only work with system data file so it won't work for me or people with European versions or North america.. stupid konami

great review, Gio. Thanks very much for doing this. :beer2: Looks like I'll be getting FIFA in April and then we'll go through this entire debate again next year. Only next time, I'll just keep my mouth shut and wait for Gio to give us the 411.

Because he's a d-bag.

Nice review Gio, I agree with pretty much all of it apart from the stadiums. They look fine, the detail around the sides is very good and in stadiums such as the San Siro and the Bernacow, you can see that the pitch and the stands are positioned at the correct distances from each other compared with Fifa, were alot of pitches are lacking any feel of atmosphere.

Got a new game going with Porto;

Helton
Gabi Milito
Bruno Alves
Fucile
Sapunaru
Manuel Fernandes
Raul Meireles
Guarin
Varela
Hulk
Diego Milito

Just beat, Barca 2-0, I wish I could put the goals on the internet to show you, they look so realistic and everything about this game is so fun and addictive to play. I'd reccomend it to anyone 100%.

You need to play FIFA Jordan seriously cause there is no contest in terms of stadium NO contest at all
.. my final test was 3 hours go
went to a friend which we usually kick each other butt 2 teams vs 2 teams in cup format (Konami cup ) and suddenly we discovered Konami canceled the Konami cup and instead use the community format for what in short turn out to be an exhibition match only 1 teams vs the other nothing more no 4 or 8 teams ..etc .. the difference is they will keep the stats in their records!!! wtf ..
the game was piss easy , goals scored were very very easy 2 headers from crosses and i ran with Kaka through 4 English defenders..
we immediately switched to FIFA and enjoyed a great cup with Argies vs Spain and Brazil vs England ..
i'm seriously thinking of selling my version tbh or lets say if received a good offer i will sell it without regret Jordan .
and you know i've defended them but this fun & games with friends is important and Konami shot themselves in the foot.
if the update won't do so major changes (and definitely include taking out the region block for option files ) i'll continue with FIFA cause it's seriously better

Yeah I've been playing in the master league. I bought Hazard and D'Alessandro!

Played 9 league games won 7 drew 2 and in the quarters of the cup. I have Barca and Benfica in the CL groups! beat Barca 6-0 in nou camp with Torres getting 4 goals!! But Barca had some weird crap team out. Pedro in goal Guddy playing no Xavi no Ibra no Pique. So I slammed home that advantage with Torres taking the piss out of Puyol!.

I also notice in the master league that you have to play weaker sides occasionally like in the cup of CL to keep players happy rather than your first XI all of the time. It is more realistic in the sense of managing your resources whilst on fifa you can play your first XI all the time.

The Fallen

Yeah this PES is clearly way superior, you can see that after playing one match. I never played with the analog stick in previous football games so I have to learn more than having to adjust to this PES.

I ordered it. I can't wait till it comes!! I hope it's today but with this royal mail crap, you can't be certain.

To those who have got it, how are the goalkeepers? In the last one, the worst keepers made wonder saves and the good ones used to do some stupid shizz...

With the d-pad it's just 8 directions like the old PES from what I've seen, if you can control the whole 360 degree thing with it then it's really poor, you gotta use the analog. It's worth it anyway.

Keepers are still shit .. as soon as i find a great Option file i'm going to push up the keepers a lot at least by 5-7 points and 4 up for the defense and a regular 10 to the stamina of every single player

The PC version is the same as the console ones when it comes to PES.

Man there isn't enough fouls in this game, I get my players slaughtered by the opposition and there's rarely ever a free kick. The defending of the CPU in the box is amazing, I can barely get a shot off half the time.

The lack of fouls is actually pissing me off, so many times have I been in the middle of the shot, get slide tackled with the defender not getting the ball and the match just keeps going on?
