The ref system of PES2010 is the suckest of all, basically when you play the other teams can tackle us all they want and get away with it, albeit our player went down right in front of goal.

Yeah it's a problem, I get whistled for little niggly fouls on them, but they can clobber my guy to the ground without touching the ball all over the pitch and get away with it. The keepers making diving the totally wrong way is annoying at times too.

I still find 3-5-2 is the best formation in the game personally, and Barca are the best team for it(used to be Milan but since Kaka left and Maldini retiring, not anymore, though still very good).

Works like a charm for me every time, the WBs are awesome and provide great width and attacking runs, as well as getting back to defend and help out the 3 CBs. Xavi = CM, Iniesta = AM and Messi = SS.

The keepers are pretty horrid. I need to work on my defending, I can score a bundle of goals each match but I can't defend for crap, I'll have 4 players in the way of a player and he just barges through the middle of them and gets clear on goal.

My defending shit too. I can't get the ball off of them at regular level. 90% of the time that I do make a sliding tackle I get penalised.

Yeah, you can't touch them but they can clobber you. :lol: Do you find it that rebounds will go to the opposition 8/10 times? Rebounds off players legs, the posts or anything, it almost always ends up with their players. :angry:

I can score 3 to 5 goals on Top Player but I've given away a 2 or 3 goals lead too many times, partly down to the luck of the rebounds, such as rebounds off the post going straight to their player while when I hit the post it goes to a defender. :angry:

What tactics do you use? I have support range on 20 or below, it stretches the other team pretty good and gives me a fair bit of space to work with. The other 3 are on about 40 or 50.

The one annoying thing on top player is how often their final ball finds its target and it's pretty much down to you hoping they miss.

Guys, I have all the strategies on default, game level's Top Player and I'm practically unbeaten. All I've changed is the LW for Barca. I just bought Zarate for Henry spot and he performs!
I could broadcast live on xfire playing the game aswell if anyone's interested.

Playing on profesional isn't that challenging anymore(sometimes it is), but I don't think I should be changing the difficulty to TP, because the computer tends to cheat the living shit out of me. :D Other then that, I'm still on my personal quest to winning the CL, but it keeps evading me because I run out of luck in the group stages. I did manage to win the Europa League with Inter. :)

I'm playing almost every day :D My favourite is Master League at the moment. Those improvements have been great. I've played a lot of Online as well. Online competitions are just something fantastic. So addictive...

Konami has updated the game 3 times till now... version 1.03 is the latest which added 2 Adidas boots, 4 Nike boots an Umbro boot and 2 new balls.

version 1.02 update the entire transfers missing .. so my advise download the latest konami updates as you lot haven't logged online with it clearly

no you can't Eddie.
link your PS3 with a wired or wireless Internet connection and start the game it will prompt you with the message of the required update otherwise you are screwed .

they updated some teams for the CL as well (Atletico,Fiorentina,lyon ) corrected the transfers , added new registered faces (like Asenjo,Granero ..etc ) , new boots.. you have 3 updates to do and they have another one lined up for January transfer window

However I'm far too good at it with a decent team, I think I need to start off with someone extremely shit and work my way up. I'm Inter at the moment played 15, won 15 in the league and only drawn once in the Champions League, winning the other 4. Also in the Italian Cup still, it's far too easy. I agree Jordan .. i gave up on FIFA after a while it's just boring
.. PES (Especially after the update the game play is a bit harder ) is better however i extend the hardship by little editing especially for players like Pedro and the classic stars

all Stamina,Form and tenacity (or whatever what used to be Mentality ) to 99
Goal keepers main stats (Defense,Speed,Acceleration,GK..etc ) all pushed up

added some player index skills , made most of the german league in others (B Munich,Werder,Wolfsburg ) created best of the liga,Serie A,EPL,German league clubs (from the Classic players ) + SA stars (classics who spent most of their time in South America ) and Africa ...created missing classic players instead of crap ones like Socrates,Passerela Zico,Pele,Cruyff...etc and scanned the faces

it's very competitive to the extent i play with Africa (a mixture of no-PES club african players ) and i'm 6th behind la liga ,SA stars ,Real Madrid,Barca..etc

u have to have a basic file , some guy did the entire German league and i built it over his option file...
If you want the link to his option file i can post it (my version are like yours the UK version stupid Knoami and their new idea of region protection )

Wow, you do go to alot of effort to improve it and that's good. When I can be bothered, I do some of what you've suggested and it's dissapointing that the German teams aren't in the game. I think i'll start with a fairly poor team and see how that goes and also take the time to improve certain aspects. Also, I tend to keep the English in one league, Italians all in the same again and so on, but I think i'll break that mould to make it tougher.

just register (it's free ) and download it ...
once u download it transfer to your PS3 and go to the USB from the save data option and copy everything to your game but don't ever take the system data file it wipe out all your unlocked teams

if u download the option file in the link i posted you will have the german league teams with the whole thing (logo's , players ,kits , formation ) .. won't take more then 5 minutes and to copy them all to your PES

Been playing this quite a lot lately.

I notice though that my players, seem to lose their speed and pace after a few games, and even when I rest them, they don't seem to regain their full pace.

My team btw is Reina, Johnson, Rendulic, Agger, Banega, Xavi, Gerrard, Gourcuff, Zarate, Torres. In my squad are Robben, Turner, Huntelaar, Falcao, Marin, plus some players I never heard of, and made up players.

i'm sure there was a way around that. if you save, reset and start up again it goes back to normal. not sure though.

Yeah, because I keep getting 0-0's or 1-0's (wins or losses) so I find it quite annoying, as even when I don't play them, they don't seem to rest and get back to their normal level.

I may finish with the master league and do a become a legend for a while, as I have won everything to win really, though it is always closer in them premier league, ie I win it by 2-3 points.

I had a fantastic duel with Real over 2 seasons, Barca too, but more so Real as they were harder to beat. We were in thr group stages. They beat me 5-2 at Anfield, whilst it was 1-1 in Madrid, but that only tells half the story. I scored first, had 2 men sent off and Madrid overpowered me to equalise. We then met in the final where I won 2-1. Then the following season we met in the quarters. First leg in Madrid I won 3-1. 2nd leg it was a 2-2 draw. In that same season I was in the group stage with Barca and beat them in the nou camp 5-1 in liverpool it was a 1-1 draw. Then the current season I am playing I met barca again in the group stages. They beat me 2-0 in the nou camp, but I won 1-0 in liverpool. We could yet meet again, in the final. But this season will be my last, as I am a bit tired of it and need a new challenge.
